About traveling

Where to go?

Actually it doesn't matter where you travel, it's more important why you do it. If you are open minded and interested in your surroundings, you'll find beautiful places everywhere. Nevertheless I prefer traveling to Latin America.

Ever since I've been to beach vacation in the Caribbean, the tropical environment, the sun, the plants and the animals fascinate me. For me, the tropical rain forest is one of the greatest ecosystems. That's why I like to travel in the Latin Americas' jungles.

Individual or organized tour?

It comes back to personal taste to go individually or join an organized tour. Both have advantages and disadvantages. Individually you are more flexible and you can design the tour to your own needs, while joining an organized tour limits you to a fixed program. On the other hand you don't need to care on an organized tour, everything is organized for you. Joining a tour does not necessarily mean staying at a beach hotel for the whole vacation, there are many offers for organized round trips.

Personally I prefer joining an organized tour. It works best for me. I can concentrate on relaxing and enjoying the scenery without thinking on how to get from A to b, or where to sleep, or trying to understand what the other person tries to tell me in a language I don't understand. And you'll get to know many people that share your interests (otherwise they wouldn't have booked the tour).
The itinerary may be fixed but I prefer investing a little time beforehand and look for a tour that includes everything I like to see, to doing this on the fly while traveling. And having a tour guide that knows the area is very handy, you'll get much more information than from a guidebook.
